What are Tooth Fillings?
One of the most common dental problems that dentists address is tooth decay. By restoring the overall structure of a tooth that has been decayed. In the past, they tended to come in metal amalgam form, though improvements in dental ceramics have led to people using composite, tooth-colored materials for these dental restorations instead given their many benefits to patients.
Dentists are using more tooth-like materials (composite resins and porcelains) that are both safe and predictable. The most important feature, for many people, is that they look more like natural teeth, last longer and are more durable than amalgam.
The advantage of filling materials is to improve the bonding techniques, and the ability to place beautiful natural looking fillings in front and back teeth.
